I have been practicing social work for 6 years as a public high school social worker in the western suburbs. I received my MSW degree from University of Illinois-Chicago after teaching high school English for 3 years in Chicago Public Schools. I am well experienced in the special education (i.e. IEP) process along with 504 plans in the secondary school setting. I enjoy working to support families and children around that process. Additionally, my clinical experience has allowed me to work extensively with LGBTQ+ youth, individuals experiencing anxiety, depression and mood disorders. I have a strong focus on working with clients around family dynamics and establishing positive and healthy relationships. For some, looking at this page can be the first step in seeking support for whatever they may need assistance with.

I exercise compassion towards all people and believe that it is the foundation to my social work practice. I approach my work to empower individuals to make the decisions and changes that benefit them and allow for their achievement of their own personal goals. I aim to create an environment that allows for individuals to feel that they can be heard while still feeling safe.

I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and use those theoretical frameworks whenever appropriate and beneficial to the person I am working with. When not working, I enjoy playing my favorite paddle sports (pickleball, platform tennis and ping pong), working on my garden and house plants with my partner and searching for the best thin-crust pizza on the south side of Chicago.
