Carly Crone, LSW

I am glad that you found me and hope that my background and interests can be helpful to you. Finding a therapist is personal and unique to everyone.

I bring 20 years of experience in Yoga Therapy which looks at the entire person from a holistic perspective. I am also trained in meditation and spiritual inquiry within the Buddhist tradition. I work from a mind-body framework in my therapeutic approach, particularly informed by the Internal Family Systems and EMDR (Eye Movement De-sensitization Reprocessing) models of therapy.

My therapeutic approach explores the meaning of being human within the context of life’s challenges, discomforts and uncertainties. I am inspired by the human capacity to travel through the journey of life with clients and believe that we all wish to feel calm, kind, and loving. People are doing the best that they can even when it doesn’t feel or look like it. I believe in people’s intrinsic goodness – that we all hold underlying strengths, gifts, and assets. Every human being possesses these attributes even in the darkest and most difficult times.

I have a special interest and training in women’s and family of origin issues, trauma, domestic violence, suicidality, grief & loss, divorce, couples and parenting challenges. I am also passionate about supporting people in both understanding and healing the underlying wounds related to anxiety, depression, stress, low mood, loss of purpose, and chronic pain.

My LSW degree is from University of Illinois Jane Addams.

In my free time I love spending time in nature, swimming, reading and with people I love. I also own a yoga studio that brings me great joy.
