I earned my doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology, Chicago.
In my clinical training, I have enjoyed working with children, adults and families coping with a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, anger, and AD/HD.
I utilize an integrative model with strong foundations in both client-centered and psychodynamic theories.
Thus, I believe that empathic and accepting relationships are the key toward helping individuals move towards positive growth.
My ultimate goal in working with children is to empower my clients while collaborating with individuals from different areas of the child’s life in order to better understand how the child is functioning from different perspectives. When working with children and adolescents I use a combination of methods, including talk, non-directed play and activity based therapy models.
In working with adults, I utilize a strengths-based, insight-oriented approach in order to help clients gain a better understanding of the underlying causes of symptoms that they might be experiencing, and to help them utilize strengths, talents, and relationships that they already have in order to effect positive changes in their lives.

I was born in upstate New York and grew up in beautiful Littleton, Colorado. I completed my undergraduate studies with a double major in Psychology and Speech Language Hearing Sciences at the University of Colorado, Boulder. I came to Chicago for graduate school and eventually decided this is where I wanted to continue my career. In addition to working at MQA, I volunteer as a disaster mental health worker with the American Red Cross. In my free time, I enjoy indoor rock-climbing as a challenge both physically and mentally while also using it as an outlet to decompress. I also love cooking, traveling, running in 5k races and exploring Chicago.
