Peaceful Parenting Course
Are you looking for gentler ways of communicating with your child? This 30 day class will focus on learning and practicing tools that will help you better understand your child, better understand yourself as a parent, build a closer relationship with your child, and set boundaries in a way that is gentle yet effective.
This 30-day course will provide you with biweekly video shorts introducing research-supported strategies that will help you and your child “tune in” to one another. Every weekday, you, Dr. Quinn, and a group of other parents who are also working on peaceful parenting, will set goals, track progress, celebrate successes and troubleshoot difficulties along the way using a private chat board.
Groups offered on a rolling basis, please contact the office for more information.
Be the Calm Chicken
Parenting an anxious child can be challenging – living with a little person who spends a lot of time in Chicken Little mode can put your own fight-or-flight system in overdrive, making it difficult to respond to your child in a mindful and non-reactive manner.
This 30-day course will provide you with biweekly video shorts introducing strategies for connecting with your anxious child, anticipating anxiety-inducing situations, and helping your child “find their feet” in coping with these situations. Every weekday, you, Dr. Quinn, and a group of other parents who are also raising anxious kids, will set goals, track progress, celebrate successes and troubleshoot difficulties along the way using a private chat board.
Groups offered on a rolling basis, please contact the office for more information.
30 Days to Better Sleep
The American Academy of Sleep Medicine estimates that about 30 percent of adults have some symptoms of insomnia, and that 10 percent of adults have insomnia symptoms severe enough to cause problems during the daytime.
Unlike prescription and nonprescription sleep aids, cognitive behavioral therapy is an effective insomnia treatment that continues to work even after treatment has ended. For this reason, it is often considered a first-line treatment for insomnia.
This 30-day course includes psychoeducation about factors that predispose individuals to insomnia, factors that trigger insomnia, and factors that maintain insomnia over time, as well as many strategies that research has shown to be effective in alleviating insomnia symptoms. Every weekday, you, Dr. Quinn, and a group of other adults coping with insomnia will set goals, track progress, celebrate successes and troubleshoot difficulties along the way using a private chat board.
