I am a licensed clinical psychologist who has been providing psychotherapy services to individuals across the lifespan since 2010. I earned my doctorate in clinical psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology, Chicago in 2014. In my training, I have worked in a variety of settings with diverse populations, including hospitals, community mental health centers, and private practice.
I work from an attachment-based, psychodynamic approach in therapy that emphasizes the importance of developing insight about the origins of symptoms and stressors that clients’ experience. Frequently, I incorporate cognitive behavioral strategies (CBT) and mindfulness-based skills in my work in order to provide thorough and individualized interventions to fit each of my clients’ needs and goals. I believe that early childhood bonding experiences, negative self-assumptions, and difficult experiences have a profound impact on an individual’s psychological development and capacity for relationships throughout life, but that the impact of these experiences can be mitigated or corrected in the context of a supportive, empathic therapeutic relationship. I strive to provide a therapeutic experience of genuine connection and relatedness that supports each individual’s unique development of self-awareness, insight, and effective strategies for change.
Through our work together, I hope to facilitate opportunities to enhance your sense of self, nourish your relationships, and promote your overall fulfillment.
Areas of specialization include mood concerns, adolescent and young adult identity development, LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy, parent-child relationships (I am a registered Circle of Security ® facilitator), and social and behavioral challenges in children. Particular areas of interest include women’s empowerment, identity development, and relationship health as well as sand/play therapy with children. I also offer psychological assessment/testing and bullying intervention trainings.

Outside of work, I love taking walks and cuddling my little dog, Milo, vegging out on the couch watching any mindless show on Bravo, trying new restaurants and types of cuisine with my partner, laughing with and enjoying my family and friends, and traveling anywhere and everywhere I possible can.
