I believe one of the most courageous acts a person can take is to seek therapy and professional support. My goal is to collaborate with clients (and their caretakers) to create a safe and supportive space to learn more about their thoughts, feelings, and experiences, and to make necessary changes to live healthier and more balanced lives. I have dedicated my professional training and career to serving multiculturally diverse populations, and believe in the importance of accessing mental health resources. I graduated from the Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA in 2020. A core part of our training was focused on becoming “clinicians to society,” with social justice at the forefront of our therapeutic work. I have worked in community mental health, school, residential, and private practice settings. I have had the privilege of working with clients, from young children to adults, through individual therapy, family therapy, couples therapy, and psychological evaluations. I specialize in complex trauma, anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, relationship difficulties, parent-child relationships, cultural identity, LGBTQ+ issues, and neurodivergent issues. In addition, I utilize my professional work to serve communities; specifically, I was featured as a guest speaker on the podcast, Centering: the Asian American Christian Podcast, to discuss my dissertation and published research on the relationship between mental health, Catholic faith, and Filipino-American identity.
My approach to therapy is integrative, as I work from an attachment and relational perspective while utilizing other evidence-based treatments (e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT, family systems, and mindfulness-based practices). I also provide psychological evaluations for those seeking diagnostic clarification and treatment recommendations, ADHD assessments, educational accommodations, and personality assessments. No matter what type of service I provide, it is important to me that, through our work together, clients gain more confidence to navigate their life in a healthy and meaningful way.
