EarliPoint Autism Assessment

Finally — an objective answer.

For families who have been watching, wondering, and waiting — EarliPoint gives us a new kind of window into how your child sees their social world. FDA-cleared, research-backed, and appropriate for children ages 36 months through their 8th birthday, EarliPoint takes just 12 minutes and gives clinicians something we’ve never had before: objective, quantitative data about what a child may be missing in social situations — and how much.

What is EarliPoint?

Children with autism process visual information differently. In a conversation, a classroom, or a playground, they may be missing critical social cues that neurotypical children pick up automatically — cues that shape how we connect, communicate, and understand each other.

EarliPoint uses precise eye-tracking technology to measure where a child’s attention naturally goes during a short video. By comparing those patterns to thousands of other children, EarliPoint tells us exactly what a child may be missing in their social world, and how that compares to both neurotypical peers and children with autism.

The assessment takes 12 minutes. No special preparation is required. And the results give families and clinicians real information to act on — instead of waiting and wondering.

Why It Matters

Early identification of autism is one of the highest-leverage interventions available. Children who receive support earlier have measurably better outcomes — in communication, relationships, learning, and quality of life. The earlier we understand what’s happening, the sooner we can help.

EarliPoint is the fastest, clearest first step we have ever been able to offer families at MQA.

How We Use It

We offer EarliPoint three ways:

  • As a standalone screener — for families wondering whether to pursue a full evaluation. An insurance-billable intake plus the 12-minute EarliPoint assessment gives you real data to help you decide, without the time and cost of a full neuropsychological evaluation. This option is available at an introductory price of $400 plus any portion of the cost of the intake appointment that is not covered by insurance, for any assessments scheduled prior to July 1.
  • As an add-on to a comprehensive autism evaluation — when clinically appropriate, EarliPoint adds an objective data point that gives our psychologists a richer, more complete picture alongside our standard assessment battery. This option is available at an introductory price of $300, for any assessment scheduled prior to July 1st, 2026.
  • As a progress monitoring tool — because EarliPoint measures visual attention objectively, it can be repeated over time to track whether therapy or intervention is shifting how your child processes their social world, providing real data on real progress.

Is This Right for My Child?

EarliPoint may be worth discussing if:

  • A teacher, pediatrician, or caregiver has raised concerns about your child’s social development
  • You’ve noticed your child seems to miss social cues or struggles to connect with peers
  • You’ve been told to “wait and see” and want more information before deciding
  • Your child is already receiving autism treatment and you’d like to track progress objectively

EarliPoint is appropriate for children ages 36 months through their 8th birthday.
