EPR Scholarship
Dr. Ednalice Pagan-Romney PsyD, LCPC, was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, and earned her Master’s degree in Psychology from Universidad del Turabo in Gurabo, PR in 2004. In 2008, Ednalice moved to Aurora, IL to pursue a doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in Chicago which she obtained in 2015. Dr. Pagan-Romney deeply loved her husband, Jorge I. Seda Rivera, to whom she was married for 27 happy years. She adored her children, Adriana and Javier.
Dr. Pagan-Romney was one of Dr. Quinn’s first students and a friend to Dr. Oganovich and Dr. Cusack. They will forever remember how much joy and passion and grace and humility and grit Dr. Pagan-Romney brought to everything she did. Dr. Pagan-Romney was a connector – her warm smile and inclusive spirit allowed her to befriend and bring together people from all different walks of life.
Dr. Pagan-Romney lived her life with her whole heart and soul. She was an idealist, a feminist, and a dreamer. Helping people, especially those belonging to the immigrant and LGBTQIA community, was her life’s work. She enjoyed spending time with family, brunch, movies with salty popcorn and Icees, coffee, wine, puzzles, scrapbooking, sunny days at the beach, 80’s and 90’s music, spinning and walks on the trail.
We are honored and humbled to offer the Dr. Ednalice Pagan-Romney scholarship. This scholarship of $1000.00 will be awarded in August of each year, to a current graduate student in a counseling or psychology program, who resonates with Dr. Pagan-Romney’s life mission of making the world a better and safer place for people belonging to the immigrant and LGBTQIA communities.
