When choosing a path of study and ultimately a career path for myself, I always knew that I wanted to work with people. Communicating positively with children and adolescents and guiding them through difficult times in their lives is something that I am so passionate about. Seeing clients, especially children, grow and overcome challenges is one of the most rewarding parts of this career. My educational journey led me to earn my Masters in School Counseling in 2019. Throughout my work as a school counselor, I was able to empower children to advocate for themselves in the classroom so that all of their academic and social-emotional needs were being met.

Through individual and group counseling, students were able to build confidence and raise their self-esteem, improve their executive functioning skills, and make school a place where they felt like they could belong. Building relationships is critical in the counseling process and the clinical setting allows me to spend the time getting to know my clients so that we can establish goals together and do meaningful work in order to create positive change. Counseling is unique to all clients and should be tailored to meet each client’s individual needs.

Given my background in school counseling, I know the importance of collaborating with teachers, school social workers and counselors, and parents so that therapy is consistent across all settings. My approach is to work together as a team to provide the best care possible and accomplish goals while seeing positive growth over time.
