Starting therapy can often feel overwhelming, painful, and scary. As a provider, I value creating a strong, collaborative, and trusting relationship with each and every person I serve, where the emphasis is placed not on the “diagnosis,” but on your specific needs at that moment. This often means that therapy can look radically different from session to session. I use a variety of interventions, including person-centered therapy, strengths based approaches, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and dialectical therapy. If none of those interventions are working for you, I am flexible in searching for and trying new approaches until we find the “just right” fit. Think of therapy with me as a “goldilocks experience!” But without the bears bursting in at the end of the story.

A little more about me: I received my master’s degree and Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Midwestern University. I have worked in a variety of settings, including a private practice, two community mental health clinics, and an integrated behavioral health clinic (serving individuals with HIV). I have a passion for working with LGBTQ+ individuals, particularly LGBTQ+ children and adolescents—with a special love for the trans population.

When I am not in therapy, you can find me cuddling my two cats, watching a DND live-play, and reading or writing.
