I have a passion for working with young people to provide them with a safe space to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I have 2 years of experience working with children and teens within the school setting where I have provided brief therapy and taught coping skills to children and adolescents struggling with anxiety, PTSD, depression, grief, gender dysphoria, self esteem issues, and peer conflicts. My experience includes running psychoeducational groups for adolescents focusing on anxiety and executive functioning. I have earned my Masters in School Counseling from DePaul University and I apply my holistic and systemic approach to help clients. I work with parents to teach parenting skills and better the communication between parents and children to ensure clients’ needs are met comprehensively.

As an individual therapist, I apply a person centered approach and Narrative Therapy. I am also trained in Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused Brief Therapy which I use when needed based on my clients’ needs. Focusing on building a relationship is my top priority when beginning therapy and I work to create a secure and warm space where clients feel comfortable being themselves. I believe that together we can work to build resiliency, coping skills, work towards goals, and begin to reauthor the stories that clients are told about themselves.
